It all started with a campsite in Italy. The first AZUR campsite was opened by Horst Frank on Lake Idro in 1961 and laid the foundation for a company that was run by the second and third generation until the end of 2023. In December 2023, Oliver Frank sold the company to lodgyslife AG. An ideal succession solution for him, as lodgyslife is run by the two passionate entrepreneurs René Müller and Jan Vyskocil.

The reasons for camping have not fundamentally changed since then. Then as now, the love of nature, flexibility and proximity to nature play an important role. However, the infrastructure of the campsite has not changed much.

AZUR Camping has not only adapted to the needs and wishes of its customers, but has also contributed to major developments in camping trends. What started with a public bathroom and coins for showering has evolved into today's situation where our campsites are fully equipped with modern sanitary buildings and a wide range of accommodation. More than enough hot showers without coins, but with plenty of space, high-quality toiletries such as a hairdryer and sensor-controlled paper and soap dispensers are now standard at AZUR.

But this is not our last step forwards. We regularly invest in improving the quality of our facilities and have set ourselves the goal of bringing you closer to the multifaceted holiday form of "camping" today and in the future, while continuing to promote sustainability standards. We want all our guests to feel at home with us: Holidaymakers travelling to the south, dog owners, caravan owners, campers with caravans or tents, motorhomes. But also guests who have previously spent their holiday in a hotel and now want to spend it in a romantic camping barrel or even in one of our luxurious glamping accommodations without having to forego the comfort of a 4-star resort; all this is possible with a camping holiday.
