Is travelling by car, campervan or caravan really more environmentally friendly than flying? And what does “eco-friendly” even mean in this context? Is an electric car a good option for a camping trip – and is it even practical?

Whether you come by electric car, camper, train, bike or classic caravan – you’re warmly welcome!

We believe: sustainable mobility starts with conscious choices. A car is usually more climate-friendly than a plane – especially if you're travelling with several people. Even better: an electric car running on green energy.

Of course, towing a caravan or travelling in a motorhome means more weight – and that affects emissions. Electric cars can lose up to 30% of their range when towing, and charging on the road may be a bit more complicated with a trailer.

E-campers? Still rare – but exciting developments are on the way!

At Azur Camping, we actively ask ourselves: how can we support and enable more sustainable mobility for our guests?

We’d love to already offer our own EV charging infrastructure at every location – because going on a camping holiday with your electric vehicle shouldn’t be a barrier. But local conditions often play a big role in what’s possible.
